Easy Bacon Quiche Recipe

Looking for a savory, versatile dish that you can enjoy anytime and customize to your heart’s desire? You have to try this easy quiche recipe!

Quiche is basically a fancy way of saying “egg pie”. There are many different varieties (which we go into below!) but the main staples are always eggs, cream, and milk – or in the case of this recipe, half and half – baked in a pie crust.

You can add any variety of meats, cheeses, and veggies you desire, though for this easy quiche recipe I opted for bacon and blue cheese crumbles. The end result is savory with just a bit of that classic blue cheese tang and the salty bacon. Our Jalapeno Popper Quiche recipe is another great option.

What You’ll Need

Here’s an overview of the ingredients needed to make quiche. Scroll down to the recipe card for measurements.

  • Pie crust – You can use store-bought or homemade pie crust for this recipe. If using a frozen pie crust, make sure to thaw it according to the package instructions before use.
  • Half and half – Helps make the creamy custardy texture to the egg filling.
  • Eggs
  • Bacon – Cooked and chopped. I like to cook my bacon in the air fryer.
  • Blue cheese crumbles – The flavor pairs nicely with the richness of the filling and complements the bacon. We love blue cheese, so we add 1 cup. If you think it’s a bit strong, cut that down to 1/2 cup. Another option is to swap out the blue cheese for cheddar, Swiss or gruyere.
  • Flour – Coats the cheese so that it distributes evenly.

Variation Ideas For This Quiche Recipe

The wonderful thing about this easy quiche recipe is that there are endless ways to customize it. Here are a few ideas:

  • Add some veggies. Feel free to add some vegetables to the quiche, such as sauteed onions, spinach, or mushrooms, for extra flavor or texture.
  • Switch up the cheese. Cheddar, Swiss cheese, Gruyère cheese, mozzarella, pepper jack, and goat cheese would all make excellent alternatives in this quiche recipe.
  • Use other meat. Feel free to use sausage or ham in lieu of the bacon. Or you can omit the meat completely for a vegetarian quiche.
  • Add some seasonings or herbs. Feel to add in some garlic, parsley, or basil to your quiche or a sprinkle of salt and pepper or your other favorite seasonings.

What to Serve with Bacon Quiche

One of the best things about quiche is that it can pass for literally any meal, including breakfast, brunch, and dinner.

When enjoying this bacon quiche recipe for breakfast or brunch, I like to pair it with some sweet dishes, like monkey bread, French toast sticks, or blueberry muffin cookies. You could also serve it with some additional air fryer bacon or breakfast sausage.

For dinner (or lunch), you can serve it with a simple spinach salad to turn it into an impressive meal.

Proper Storage

  • Fridge. Store leftover bacon quiche in the fridge for up to 3 days. Either cover the pie pan tightly with foil or transfer the leftovers to an airtight container.
  • Freezer. You can also freeze leftover quiche. Allow it to cool completely, then wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Freeze for up to 2-3 months. Thaw it in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Reheat. The best way to reheat quiche is to bake it in a preheated oven until heated through.

So happy to find this easy recipe for a quiche. Makes a quick dinner for our family along with a packaged salad mix.
I do have to say I can’t stand all the ads. They take up half of my screen and flip up down and all around. It’s hard to read your recipes. Not sure if I can spend much time here on your site as the movement makes me nauseous. Sorry!
