Green Bean Stuffing

Stuffing with Green Beans

You can get the best of both worlds with this classic green bean mixed with savory stuffing. You can enjoy these two incredible dishes at once and it makes the perfect side dish. This is a popular recipe in my household and everyone loves it!

Key Ingredients You’ll Need

Cream of Mushroom Soup: Use this along with milk and chicken stock in the recipe to make the green beans super creamy and thick.

Soy Sauce: You can substitute Worcestershire sauce for soy sauce.

Green Beans: I like to use fresh green beans for this recipe, but canned or frozen will work well.

Stuffing: You will need turkey stuffing mix, but you can also use cornbread, chicken, or sage.

French Fried Onions: Adding these to the recipe will give it a crunchy texture.

How To Make Green Bean Stuffing

Step 1. Set the oven to 350 degrees. Add cream of mushroom soup, milk, and soy sauce to a large bowl and combine with the green beans. Add in 1/2 of the french fried onions and combine. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, add the green bean mixture.

Step 2. Add the butter and chicken stock into another large bowl and heat in the microwave in 30-second increments until the butter is melted. Put in the stuffing mix and use a fork to combine until fully coated. Add the french fried onions on top and place them into the oven to bake for 40 minutes. Take out and serve. Enjoy!

What To Serve With Green Bean Stuffing?

Just like any classic Thanksgiving and Christmas dish, this recipe can pair with almost anything. Serve with turkey, ham, chicken, pork, or other cuts of meat. Serve alongside mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, biscuits, and more.

Tips & Tricks For The Best Green Bean Stuffing:

Here are a few of my favorite hacks for making this recipe:

  • Store the recipe in an airtight container for the best storage method. Keep in the fridge for up to 4 days or in the freezer for longer.
  • To make this recipe even better, I like to add a cup of shredded cheddar cheese!
  • You can also cook and chop up some bacon to add to this recipe to make it even more delicious!
  • Fresh mushrooms are also a good add-in for this recipe. Add them to the green beans right before baking.
