  • Only 5 ingredients. I love any recipe that doesn’t require a long shopping list. This pie is made with graham cracker crust, oranges, jello, yogurt, and Cool Whip.
  • Orange flavor. There are so many layers of orange flavor in this pie, from the mandarin oranges to the orange jello and orange creamsicle yogurt.

  • Graham cracker crust – Grab a pre-made crust at the store or make your own.
  • Mandarin oranges – Drain the can but reserve the juice.

  • Orange creamsicle yogurt – I usually find it in 6-ounce containers and use 2 for this recipe.
  • Cool Whip – Adds a light, fluffy filling to the pie.

How To Make Orange Creamsicle Pie

The hands-on prep for this pie is just a few minutes but remember to leave several hours for it to chill. The printable instructions are in the recipe card below.

  • Make the jello. Combine the orange jello and 1/4 cup mandarin orange juice in a bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute then refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
  • Make the filling. Whisk the orange yogurt and Cool Whip into the chilled jello. Fold in 1/2 cup mandarin oranges.
  • Assemble. Pour the filling into the pie crust. Top with dollops of whipped cream and mandarin oranges.
  • Chill. Refrigerate the pie until it sets, around 4 hours. It can also be frozen for 2 hours.

Tips for Success

Here are a few things to keep in mind while making this orange creamsicle pie.

  • Drain the oranges. Be sure to drain the mandarin oranges well or they’ll make the pie filling too watery. Just remember to reserve the juice for making the jello.
  • Cool the jello. Before folding in the other ingredients, let the jello chill in the fridge so it firms up and cools.
  • Chill before serving. This pie needs to set for at least 4 hours before serving so that the jello and filling can firm up. Otherwise it’ll just spill everywhere when it’s sliced.
  • Turn it into a frozen treat. To turn this pie into a frozen treat, just pop it in the freezer for 2 hours or so.
