The Best Patriotic Red White and Blue Sangria!

I love good classic sangria! It is one of my favorite cocktails to make. It is an incredible combination of wine and fresh fruit and in this case, Triple Sec. When it is served together, it has the most amazing flavor. The fresh fruit keeps this cocktail light and perfect for Summer!

Ingredients Needed

All you need is a bottle of wine, triple sec and assorted fruit.

  • White Wine – You can use whatever white wine you like. Some people prefer a sweeter wine and some like to use a dry white wine.
  • Triple Sec – This adds a nice citrus flavor.
  • Fruits – You need fresh blueberries, strawberries and apples.

How to Make a Red White and Blue Sangria

Just a few simple steps!

  • Slice the apples – cut them into thin slices and then cut them into stars, then add them to the pitcher.
  • Cut the strawberries into quarters and then add the strawberries and blueberries to the pitchers.
  • Add the wine and Triple Sec to the pitcher and stir to combine.

Tips and Variations

Fruits. I think that strawberries, apples and blueberries work best for this recipe, but feel free to switch up any of the fruits. Some ideas are watermelon, cherries, raspberries, etc…

Additions. You can add in 2 cups of seltzer water and 2 Tablespoons of sugar if you prefer a more bubbly cocktail.

Make Ahead and Storing

  • Make Ahead. Sangria actually tastes better when you make it in advance so it can chill and lets the fruits soak up the flavors.
  • Storing. Sangria is best served within 24 hours, but keeps in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
