Strawberry Kiss Cookies

This Strawberry kiss recipe is so good! The texture of these cookies is so soft and chewy with great flavor. This recipe uses around the normal amount of ingredients to make a cookie but with a few additions. This recipe can be made in under 30 minutes and be ready to serve immediately. If you love Hershey Kiss Cookies, you are going to want to try Gingerbread Kiss Cookies, and of course this twist on the classic Hershey’s Secret Kiss Cookies

Ingredients

  • Butter- Use unsalted butter to control the amount of salt in the recipe.
  • Sugar- Every great dessert recipe uses sugar as an ingredient.
  • Egg- Use this at room temperature.
  • Vanilla- Use the pure extract for the best flavoring.
  • Flour- Use all-purpose for the best results.
  • Salt- This will bring out the flavors in your recipe.
  • Baking Soda- This will allow the cookies to rise in the oven.
  • Milk- Use whole or 2% milk.
  • Strawberry Ice Cream Hershey’s Kisses These will add a fun twist to these cookies
  • Sprinkles- I like to finish these cookies with fun pastel sprinkles that match the kisses.

How to Make Strawberry Kiss Cookies

Here’s how to make a batch of sweet Strawberry Kiss cookies in no time! Scroll down to the recipe card for printable instructions.

  • Combine the wet ingredients. Add the butter and sugar into a large bowl and combine until fluffy. Now, add in the egg and vanilla and mix to combine.
  • Add the dry ingredients. Next, mix in the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Form the cookie dough. After, use a cookie dough scoop to portion out the dough and use your hands to roll it into balls. If you’re using sprinkles, roll the dough into the sprinkles. Arrange the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Bake. Place the baking sheet into a 350ºF oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are light brown.
  • Add the Kisses. Take the cookies out of the oven and press one of the chocolate kisses in the center of the cookies right away. To finish, allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet and then transfer to a cooling rack. Enjoy!

Do I need to chill the cookie dough?

No, this recipe does not have you chill the dough before baking. Chilling the cookie dough is beneficial. Putting the dough in the fridge to chill will allow the dough to be easier to mold and not be as sticky.

How to Store

You will need to place the cookies into an airtight container. Leaving them at room temperature is ok if you plan on eating them quickly. Placing it in the fridge will allow for a longer shelf life, so I recommend placing it in the fridge.

  1. Are these kisses still being made? Can’t find them anywhere, not even on Amazon. Any suggestion on an alternate?

    1. Hi Janel. I looked too and I didn’t realize they weren’t being made anymore. The Birthday Cake Hershey’s Kisses would be my next choice. Thanks for letting me know.

I made these, adding 3 Tablespoons cocoa powder and 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil for a nice chocolate taste. I added it when I mixed in the eggs and milk, etc. Very good!

  3. I just made these.  They are delicious however my strawberry kisses melt flat.  It does say to remove from oven and immediately put the kiss on.  I waited a few minutes on the 2nd pan but they melted also.

    1. I recently learned that if you freeze the kisses before putting them on it does the trick, I tried it and can verify it works!

The dough went together great…but after following the directions I realized it never called for the milk so I didn’t use it…did I miss something?  They look adorable

This is the second time Ive made these cookies. The first time was for a family get together they all loved them. I’m making them again for family 4th picnic. I only had one problem the recipe calls for 2 Tablespoons of milk but in the instructions it never says when to add it. I’m making a double batch this time so hoping 4Tabs won’t be too much. Kisses were hard to find had to order from amazon.
