- Milk – whole milk is best.
- Chocolate chips – you will need white chocolate chips.
- Flavoring – pure vanilla extract.
- Food coloring – a few drops of pink food coloring.
How To Make Pink Hot Chocolate
We prefer making this on the stovetop, but feel free to use a slow cooker.
- Add the ingredients to a small saucepan and stir until smooth.
- Once heated, pour into glass mugs.
- Top with whipped cream and any other toppings you prefer.
Tips and Variations
Make a flavored whipped cream. Make our easy homemade whipped cream and add in some cotton candy or strawberry extract (or whatever you prefer).
Coloring. Out of pink food coloring? Just add a drop of red food coloring instead.
Use glass mugs. This will let you see the pretty pink color. Mason jars will also work.
Topping idea. If you’re feeling especially creative today you can make a floating marshmallow snowman to put on top or your pink hot cocoa. Heck, we like making them even we aren’t having cocoa!
Milk Alternatives. It’s totally fine to use any milk alternatives like oat milk, almond milk, etc…
