Air Fryer Pineapple
We love to cook pineapple on the grill because as it caramelizes it becomes so sweet and tender. But sometimes it’s much easier to not mess with the grill, so we tried using the air fryer instead. It’s perfect! Air Fryer Pineapple is absolutely delicious and a quick recipe to whip up in your kitchen any time with all-natural ingredients.

The Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Air Fryer Pineapple (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy to print recipe card):
Fresh pineapple – you’ll remove the skin and core then slice the pineapple into ½-inch thick wedges.
Butter – we used regular salted butter, but unsalted or even vegan butter will work as well.
Pure maple syrup – be sure to use real maple syrup.
Cinnamon – the ground cinnamon really highlights the flavor of the caramelized pineapple.
How to Make Air Fryer Pineapple
Place the pineapple slices in a large mixing bowl.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, real maple syrup, and cinnamon in a small bowl. Pour the mixture all over the pineapple and toss to coat well.
Place the pineapple slices in a single layer in your fryer basket (depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the pineapple in batches). Air fry the pineapple at 380F degrees for 12-15 minutes, or until they begin to turn golden brown and caramelized.
Turn each pineapple slice about halfway through the cooking time.
How to Serve Air Fried Pineapple
Air Fryer Pineapple is perfect just as it is, but can also be turned into an easy dessert. Here are some topping ideas:
Ice cream – Vanilla bean ice cream is delicious with the caramelized pineapple, but try other flavors to see what you like best.
Coconut – Toasted shredded coconut is a great topping for the pineapple.
Caramel – Caramel sauce goes so well with the sweet pineapple.
Save the sauce – After you toss the pineapple with the maple syrup mixture, save any extra that remains in the bowl and pour it over the pineapple after it’s cooked. If the butter solidifies, just melt the sauce in the microwave for a few seconds before pouring it back over the caramelized pineapple.
How to Store Leftover Pineapple
Keep the leftover air-fried pineapple in an airtight food storage container. Refrigerate for up to five days.
