The Best Butterscotch Cocktail Recipe
There is just something about apple, butterscotch and caramel that goes together beautifully. I love a nice creamy cocktail like this one. Adding in apple and caramel to enhance the flavors of butterscotch is winner. You too are going to love this Fall cocktail!
Ingredients Needed
- Vodka – we use regular vodka for this recipe, but you can experiment with other vodka flavors.
- Apple Spiced Rum – Captain Morgan is my pick.
- Butterscotch Schnapps
- Apple Cider
- Coffee Creamer – Vanilla flavored.
- Caramel Sauce – used for the glass.
- Ice – for the glass and shaker.
How To Make A Butterscotch Cocktail
- Add caramel to a glass and swirl to create a drizzle down the glass.
- Fill the glass and shaker with ice.
- Pour the vodka and Butterscotch Schnapps in the shaker and then pour apple cider and vanilla creamer in the shaker.
- Put the lid on the shaker and shake to combine
- Pour into the glass over the ice and enjoy it.
Variations
- Coffee Creamer – If you want to swap the coffee creamer with heavy cream you can. Add the heavy cream and a splash of vanilla to the cocktail to get the same flavor as the vanilla coffee creamer. I often use this method for my coffee when I am out of creamer. You can even add extra cinnamon or apple pie spice to this if you wanted. This method would also work with my pumpkin white Russian or my dirty Irishman cocktails.
- Rum – dark rum can replace the apple spiced rum.
Serving
I like to serve this alongside a dessert. This goes well with my Caramel Apple Cheesecake or this super easy 3-ingredient Apple Cake.

Ingredients
- 1 oz Vodka
- 1/2 oz Captain Morgan Apple spiced rum
- 1/2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
- 2 oz Apple Cider
- 2 oz Vanilla Coffee Creamer
- Caramel Sauce
- Ice
Instructions
- Pour caramel into a glass and swirl to create drizzle down the glass.
- Fill the glass and shaker with ice and set to the side.
- Pour vodka, and Butterscotch Schnapps in the shaker.
- Then pour apple cider, and vanilla creamer in the shaker.
- Put the lid on the shaker and shake to combine.
- Pour into the glass. Enjoy!
