When you want a quick and easy Easter dessert, these Easter Cookie Bars is a great option. These are sometimes called “blondies” but these bars have more of a chewy cookie texture. Similar to our classic chocolate chip cookies bars.

  • Quick and Easy – These bars take about 10-15 minutes of prep and only 20 minutes to bake.
  • Easter Favorite – We make these M&M cookie bars every year for Easter and they are the first thing to go at Easter parties.
  • Versatile – There are so many additions and variations you can do with these bars with other colored candies or chocolate.

Ingredients Needed

You only need a handfull of simple ingredients.

  • Butter – I always recommend using unsalted butter, even when you are adding salt to the recipe. When you use unsalted butter you can control the salt content in the recipe.
  • Brown sugar & Egg
  • Flavor – you will need pure vanilla extract.
  • Dry ingredients – All-purpose flour, baking powder and salt.
  • M&Ms – Any Easter colored M&Ms will work with pastel colors.

1 thought on “Easter Cookie Bars”

  1. Simple recipe. A bit hard to mix and a 9×13 was way too big for the amount of batter this recipe made. I would try going with a smaller pan next time. I also had to bake a few extra minutes. But tasted pretty good! Very pretty and cute idea!
