An Oreo Lover’s Dream

There aren’t many things better than cookies with Oreos inside. It’s like two cookies in one! The soft and chewy chocolate brownie cookie on the outside with a Oreo cookie inside! All you need is a glass of milk.

We buy Oreos all the time in our house. There are so many different flavors and we all have our favorites. One thing we can agree on is adding Oreos to a dessert takes it to the next level. Especially with rich brownie cookie dough, topped with a luscious chocolate glaze. It’s absolute perfection. Top it with crushed Oreos – and my mouth is watering! They will quickly become a new family favorite that your little ones will beg you to make for every holiday and event.

You’ll also love these other cookies that include Oreos: Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies and Oreo Cheesecake Cookies.

Why You’ll Love These Oreo Stuffed Cookies

Here are a few reasons why these are some of my favorite cookies to make.

  • Super Easy. this recipe uses a boxed brownie mix. The only extra step is adding the chocolate glaze which is just 4-ingredients.
  • Soft and chewy. These cookies have the perfect texture. They are so fudgy and the crisp Oreo cookie in the center just takes these cookies to the next level!
  • Rich Chocolate Flavor. This cookie is LOADED with chocolate!

Ingredients Needed

Below is everything you will need to make each component of these Oreo-stuffed chocolate cookies. Get the full amounts in the recipe box below.

For the Brownie Cookies:

  • Brownie Mix: I like to use Betty Crocker but you can use whatever brand you prefer.
  • Flour: I recommend all-purpose flour.
  • Eggs
  • Butter: Unsalted is best for this recipe. It must be melted before you make the cookie dough.
  • Vanilla Extract: Pure vanilla is best.
  • Oreo Cookies: I use the regular Oreos but you can use double stuffed, too.

For the Glaze:

  • Powdered Sugar
  • Cocoa Powder: I use unsweetened.
  • Water: This helps you get the right consistency.
  • Vanilla Extract: Again, pure vanilla extract is best.

Topping:

  • Crushed Oreos

How to Make Oreo Stuffed Cookies

This is one of my favorite recipes to make. It’s so easy and the result is worth the time it takes. It’s a true labor of love!

  • Prep Your Pans and Oven. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick spray.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients. Add the brownie mix and flour to a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until combined.
  • Add Wet Ingredients. Whisk in eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Make sure it’s thoroughly mixed.
  • Scoop the Dough. Scoop two balls for each cookie (so it covers the Oreo). A one-tablespoon cookie scoop is the best size.
  • Add the Oreo. Press an Oreo into one of the dough balls and then place the second one on top. Press the edges together to seal it. Repeat this process for the rest of the cookie dough.
  • Bake. Place each of the cookies about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet and bake for about 8 minutes. They will still be soft but the edges will be fully baked.
  • Cool. Allow the cookies to cool on the pan for about 8 minutes after removing them from the oven. Then transfer them to a cooling rack.
  • Make the Glaze. Mix the powdered sugar and cocoa powder in a small bowl. Whisk in the water and vanilla until combined and smooth.
  • Top the Cookies. Spoon the glaze and top with crushed cookies. Allow them to set and cool completely before serving.

Storing Leftovers

Leftover Oreo stuffed cookies can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container. They will stay fresh for up to 5 days.

You can freeze the cookie dough and make them when you want. Divide them into the cookie dough balls and wait to add the Oreos until they are defrosted and ready to bake. They will stay fresh in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 4 months.

Tips and Variations

Oreo Flavor – Use a different flavor of Oreo for a new combination like peanut butter or birthday cake.

Additions – chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans for crunch, or mix in semi-sweet chocolate chips to the brownie batter for extra chocolate!

Skip the Glaze – The glaze is a nice touch but you can leave it out if you prefer.

No Chill – You do not need to refrigerate the dough before baking. It is ready to bake after mixing it!

Cookie Flavor – Another way of making these is with chocolate chip cookie dough. To make Oreo Stuffed chocolate chip cookies, simply swap the brownie mix using a premade cookie dough or make our easy homemade chocolate chip cookies recipe.
