How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookies
Set the oven to 350 degrees.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt into a medium bowl and combine, then set it aside.
Add the butter, sugar, and brown sugar into a large bowl or standing mixer. Combine all the ingredients until creamy and wet sand-like.
Pour in the vanilla and eggs, then combine on medium to high speed for approximately 30-45 seconds until the batter is creamy.
Add the flour mixture into the batter by working in portions. Combine the ingredients on medium speed while using a spatula to scrape the sides to get an excess batter off the sides. When the ingredients are fully incorporated, they will begin to form a soft dough.
Add the chocolate chips into the batter using a large spoon or spatula.
Start arranging portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Use a large portion scoop or spoon, while also making sure to leave about 1 1/2-2 inches of space between them.
Place into the oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn a light brown.
Take out of the oven and begin adding some more chocolate chips on top of the cookies right away if desired.
Serve and Enjoy with a glass of milk! We also love sprinkle sea salt on top to give our cookies that sweet and salty flavor, but this is totally optional.

An Amazing cookies! Everything you would look for in a crispy on the outside soft on the inside chocolate chip cookie. I didn’t get your prior comment on the amount of brown sugar till after, and I just used to kind of be a little more than a level cup of brown sugar, and they still worked out beautifully.
I haven’t made this yet, but I would like to make the chewy ones and I realized in the picture it states one cup of brown sugar, but in the actual recipe here when I scroll down it states one and 1/4 cups of brown sugar?
Hi Danette. This recipe uses 1 1/4 cups of brown sugar.
Followed the cakey recipe. These were by far the best puffy and delicious Cho.chip. Their appearance was enticing

My daughter’s 12th bday is coming up, and I’m coming up w some simple after school meal and snack ideas to make her very 1st cool book. She and her dad loved cooking silly and “creative” items. He past away in October of 2021 and I want to give her something to remind her. So I’m printing some free recipes to add. I can take pics of the finished book. I hope she likes it.
