Peppermint Bark Fudge

It has all the flavors of peppermint bark, but it’s even better because it’s made with creamy chocolate and sweetened condensed milk.

What is Peppermint Bark Fudge?

Peppermint fudge is a dessert made with chocolate chips, candy canes, and additional ingredients. It is a simple no-bake recipe that is easy to make with few ingredients you need to work with.

Key Ingredients to Make Peppermint Bark Fudge

  • Candy Canes- The candy canes is what brings in the peppermint in this recipe.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk – this can be found in the baking section and it’s in a can.
  • Chocolate – you will need white chocolate and semi sweet chocolate

How to Make Peppermint Bark Fudge

Step 1- Chocolate Fudge.

Use parchment paper to line an 8×8-inch square pan. In a medium pot, add the semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk, and butter and combine on low to medium heat until melted. Add the fudge into the prepared dish and place it aside for 30 minutes to harden.

Step 2- Peppermint Fudge.

In a medium pot, add the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter and combine until smooth. Pour in the 1 tsp of peppermint extract and combine. Add the fudge on top of the first layer.

Step 3- Topping.

Top with the rest of the crushed candy canes and mini chocolate chips and set aside for the night for the best results.

What is sweetened condensed milk?

This is a very sweet, thick, and off-white milk that is found in many desserts and is used normally to assist with the thickness or consistency of chocolate, fudge, cakes, cookies, and more.

What Kind of White Chocolate should I use?

For this recipe, you will be using white chocolate chips. In addition, the chocolate chips will be a lot easier to melt compared to bars or bricks of white chocolate.

Ingredients
  

Chocolate Layer

  • 3 C semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 – 14 oz can sweeten condensed milk
  • 4 Tbsp butter

Peppermint Fudge

  • 3 C white chocolate chips
  • 1 – 14 oz can sweeten condensed milk
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 8 oz package of crushed candy canes
  • 1 C mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Line an 8×8 square pan with parchment paper
  • Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk, and butter into a medium pot over low to medium heat
  • Stir the mixture until melted
  • Pour the fudge into the dish
  • Allow the chocolate layer to harden for about 30 minutes before making the peppermint fudge
  • Using a medium pot, melt the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter until combined and smooth
  • Mix in the 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • Pour the fudge onto the top of the chocolate fudge
  • Sprinkle the remaining crushed candy canes and mini chocolate chips on top and allow the fudge to harden overnight
