Melted Snowman Cookies
You will need…
- Your favorite sugar cookie recipe or use a mix (like we did) to make things quick and easy.
- Marshmallows
- Edible Marker
- Cookie Icing
This is such a cute idea for Holiday class parties at school. The kids go crazy over these. I have even had cookie decorating stations set up where the kids can create their own cookies by looking at examples. It’s so fun to watch what they come up with. This idea was originally created by The Decorated Cookie. She is always coming up with adorable treat ideas.
Melted Snowman Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 16.5 ounce roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 12 marshmallows
- 1 pouch each Betty Crockerâ„¢ Cookie Icing in white, red, and black
- 2 edible markers black and orange
Instructions
- Place 1 roll (16.5 oz) Pillsburyâ„¢ sugar cookie dough, 1 egg yolk, and 1/2 cup all-purpose flour in large bowl. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
- Scoop 2-tablespoon-size (12) balls of cookie dough onto cookie sheets covered with silicone baking mats or cooking parchment paper. Refrigerate dough balls 15 minutes. Heat oven to 350°F.
- Bake chilled cookies 12 to 14 minutes or until light brown.
- Let cool completely before decorating.
- Draw eyes and a mouth on the marshmallows using the black edible marker. Then draw the nose using the orange edible marker. Set aside.
- On cooled cookies, draw a “snow" using the white cookie icing. TIP: Draw the outline of the puddle, then go back and fill in the shape.
- While the icing is still wet, immediately place a marshmallow to one side of the cookie
- Then make the arms and buttons with the black cookie icing and the scarf with the red cookie icing.

Okay,
Now I’m going to have to try this one
Right now at Walmart in the Christmas cupcake decorating section they have a small package of eyes, carrots and buttons for making snowmen that would be perfect for this.
Thanks so much Jodi
These are such a great idea. For the red scarf you could use red licorice whips, the real thin ones.
this was in a movie call the sweetest christmas
How do I get the Pink Pyrex set????
Awesome cookiesÂ
I made these for our family Christmas party. I used orange sprinkles for the nose instead of drawing it.
These are so easy and so cute!
