Serving

We like to serve these homemade chicken burgers on hamburger buns or brioche buns. Here are some side dish suggestions:

Tips and Variations

Chicken Variation: If you rather make ground chicken burgers instead of using chicken breasts, mix 1 pound ground chicken, 1 large egg, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, with salt and pepper to taste. Shape the chicken patties and grill on each side until cooked.

Toppings: We love to top these with honey mustard, but feel free to use any toppings. Some other topping ideas: cheese (cheddar, blue cheese or feta cheese), spinach, jalapeños, buffalo sauce, bbq sauce, etc…

  1. You should not be making recipes if you don’t know basic food handling precautions. You NEVER let chicken come to room temperature. That’s just stupid and dangerous.

    1. Hi Lolly. It’s common to allow chicken to come up to a warmer temp before cooking. Allowing chicken to sit at room temp for between 15-30 minutes (no more than an hour) will allow the chicken to cook faster and more evenly. Cooking thoroughly to an internal temp of 165 degrees will also kill any bacteria.
