The Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make Crockpot Chicken and Gravy (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy to print recipe card):
Boneless skinless chicken breasts – you will need 4 large chicken breasts.
Cream of chicken soup – you’ll use condensed cream of chicken, such as Campbell’s.
Dry ranch dressing seasoning mix – the ranch seasoning adds a wonderful flavor to the chicken.
Chicken broth – any chicken broth you like will work. You may also use water with a chicken boullion cube instead of broth.
How to Make Crockpot Chicken and Gravy
Grease a large slow cooker with non-stick spray. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker. Top with the chicken soup then sprinkle the ranch seasoning on top and pour the chicken broth over the seasoning.
Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on low for 5-7 hours until the chicken is fork-tender. Shred the chicken with forks.
How to Serve Shredded Chicken with Gravy
Mashed Potatoes – the chicken and gravy are delicious over creamy mashed potatoes.
Noodles – try serving the chicken and gravy over buttered noodles.
Sandwiches – this chicken makes a great sandwich filling.
Biscuits – split open hot biscuits and top with the creamy shredded chicken. This is especially yummy with a big side of mashed potatoes.
How to Store Leftovers
Keep the leftover Crockpot Chicken and Gravy in an airtight food storage container. Refrigerate for up to three days. Reheat the chicken and gravy in the microwave on high or in a pot on the stove over medium heat, stirring often.
