Just made this yesterday…and it’s already GONE!!! Not only DID it taste AMAZING…the smell of it baking filled my home with such a wonderful smell! Took me back to my childhood and weekend baking with Grandma!! Thank you for posting! Do you know where I can find the nutritional information for this recipe?
This recipe is soooooooo good that I had to share it with my fellow workers by directing them to your web page. Thanks for the great recipe!
Made this today and OMG…DELICIOUS!!! The house smelled wonderful and it was a great snack with a glass of milk after my daily walk. Will definitely be a go-to dessert!
I made 2 loafs of this bread today, using Honey crisps apples.
This is in my oven as I type this..The smell is incredible…can’t wait tottery a slice…
The bread is tasty, but fairly fragile and falls apart easily.
My MIL’s gluten-free. Since it’s not a yeast bread, would using a 1 to 1 replacement flour (Bob’s Red Mill has a few) work ok?
Both my kids have celiac and I substituted GF king Arthur’s flour. With most GF recipes I added a splash more milk as it tends to come out more dry otherwise.
Made this cake on the weekend, loved it, so did my family. Tweeted a little by adding the zest of a lemon to the apple mix.
What kind of milk did you use? I have skim milk and wondering if it would make a difference.
I doubled the recipe! Thank God I did! The apple bread is d-lish-ous!!! Light! Buttery and not too sweet! Used gala apples! This is definitely a keeper .
This turned out so delicious! I substituted 1/ 2 cup of applesauce for the 1/ 2 butter and it worked great!
