I made mini loaves! Flavor was wonderful but my bread was a bit crumbly
I did sauté my apples first because I was afraid they would not get done in mini pans! So maybe I lost moisture doing that! I am going to tweak it abit and try again!
Please clarify the amount of butter when doubling recipe. Recipe indicates 1 stick of butter for both single and double recipe. My house smells delicious, can’t wait for it to cool.
I have an overabundance of apples on my trees this year and came across your recipe last week. I’ve already made this three times and it’s been a huge hit every time! It’s amazing! The only thing I did different was doubled the amount of apples (and Cinnamon/sugar mix). It was very moist so it wasn’t as firm as I’m sure it is normally, but once I put it in the fridge it firmed up nicely. And those that ate it right out of the oven didn’t care that it fell apart! Haha. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the warm bread for an out of body experience! A+++
Thanks Rachel!
Delicious!! I put in an extra apple. Don’t!!! Too juicy. Also, I recommend refrigerating after serving the first time. It will stay fresh longer.
Great flavors, I was able to eat 1 piece before the family finished it off!
I made this today for my football party and it turned out absolutely amazing with the exception of needing an additional 20 minutes baking time and my loaf pan was not large enough. I’m going to make it again and try a bundt pan.
Let just say this is an awesome recipe. However, I screwed up the first loaf, mixing the topping with the apples. Did not make more as I thought it might be too much. I did add the glaze. It was absolutely delicious. Then I made a second one, following the recipe exactly. Not too take anything away from this great recipe, but we liked my version a bit better. The bread seemed a bit more moist and flavorful. Will continue to use it and thank you for sharing.
Yeah really yummy recipe! I added 1/4 tsp salt to the dry mix and did a few swirls once I had finished with the layers. I also added some chopped pecans to the brown sugar mix, I am so glad I did! I had to bake about 12 extra minutes. Everyone who tried it loved it.
Really easy and delicious recipe 🙂
Fantastic fritter bread. I’ve made several loaves and everyone keeps asking for more!
Made this yesterday and eating some for breakfast today. Very tasty, perfectly sweet and super fluffy. I used buttermilk because I had it on hand and I think it added a nice richness to the bread. I think it has plenty of butter in it so I didn’t add any after cooking but it its divine as is! Wonderful with coffee. Thank you!
Thanks Sarah!
Delicious
Does this freeze well?
Absolutely delicious!
Soooo good oh my gosh! I used Granny Smith apples and it added perfect tart flavor to compliment the sweet! I’m gonna be making this on repeat now.
just made this bread & I’m excited to try it out. It really looks great!!
I just made this delicious Amish apple fritter bread tastes fantastic!
Excellent receioe loves it and so did my family
Delicious! Next time I think I’ll add some nutmeg or allspice but it’s such an easy recipe and came out beautifully.
We made a double batch of this bread—it was great! Only change I made was mixing an additional cup of chopped apples to the batter. Came out so good! I put one loaf in the freezer for later. Not going to tell anyone about it though since I’ll find myself making it for everyone.
So moist and so easy to make. My three year old loved making it with me. The house smells amazing and the flavor is delicious! Every bite will leave you wanting more.
Hi! This looks fabulous. Would it be OK to use canned apples in this recipe?
Hi Laura, yes canned apples will work fine for this recipe.
