Ingredients You’ll Need

Here’s what you’ll need to make Crock Pot Cube Steak with Gravy (the exact measurements and full recipe instructions are below in the easy to print recipe card):

  • Beef gravy mix – a beef au jus gravy mix will work as well.
  • Cream of chicken soup – use one undiluted can of soup. You can also use cream of mushroom soup if you prefer.
  • French onion soup – the 10.5 ounce can is just right for this recipe. Do not dilute with extra water.
  • Water – just enough water will be used to thin the gravy down a bit before it all cooks together.
  • Cube steak – you’ll need about 2 pounds, which should be 4 cube steaks.
  • Cornstarch – the cornstarch will help thicken the gravy.

What to Serve with Crock Pot Cube Steak and Gravy

Cube steak and gravy is so delicious and comforting and goes great with so many things. Serve the cube steak with any of these great sides and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

  • Mashed potatoes– probably the most perfect side dish with cube steak, because the gravy is amazing over the potatoes. Other potatoes sides that are good are scalloped potatoes or baked potatoes.
  • Egg Noodles– cube steak is also great served over egg noodles.
  • Rice– rice is a great side to go with cube steak and gravy. Try our 5 ingredient Souper Rice.
  • Steamed or roasted vegetables– we love green beans or peas, but broccoli, carrots, corn, or any other veggies you love will be perfect.
  • Bread– slices of soft, buttered bread are wonderful with the cube steak, especially to dip in the gravy.

How to Store Leftover Cube Steak

Keep the leftover cube steaks in an airtight food storage container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat individual servings in the microwave or in a pan on the stove.

    1. Hi Angela. You could possibly omit or replace with cream of mushroom or another can of cream of chicken soup. You may need to add a little water as well.
