Besides being tasty, what makes something perfect for Christmas brunch? Here are a few things I kept in mind as I curated the above list of Christmas brunch ideas.
Ease. I don’t know about you but Christmas is not the day I want to spend hours preparing brunch.
Ability to make ahead. Many of the Christmas brunch recipes above are either overnight casseroles, cook in the slow cooker overnight, or can be made in advance. Going with the first point of ease, this is important because it means less work on Christmas morning.
Balance of sweet and savory. Christmas brunch is the perfect excuse to indulge in all those “too sweet for everyday” breakfast recipes but having a savory dish or two to balance it out is also important.
